Nestled in a jungle-like setting near Puerto Viejo's vibrant heart, Bungalows Calalu offers a serene retreat from the lively streets while keeping all the Caribbean tour treasures at your fingertips. As an ecologist, I was thrilled to explore the surrounding jungle beaches, marveling at the diverse flora and fauna unique to this region. My family and I found the bungalows themselves charming, with local craftsmanship evident in their design.Despite the lack of air conditioning, the ambiance was pleasant, and the fan provided some relief. The undrinkable water was a slight inconvenience, but the warm hospitality from the owners made up for it. The pool, though needing better circulation, was a refreshing oasis after our adventures.The central location allowed us to easily explore the area's waterfalls and jungle beaches, making it a convenient choice for families seeking a mix of relaxation and adventure. Our stay was marked by tranquility, the beauty of nature, and the generosity of the hosts, creating lasting memories for us to cherish. Thank you, Bungalows Calalu, for a memorable family vacation.
